BMW i8 Hybrid Coupe Specs - BMW aims to determine itself as a manufacturer of premium green vehicles through its new "i" sub-brand beginning with the i3 hatchback in pure EV and extended-range EV flavors in 2013 and shortly after the BMW i8 coupe sports car, which is obviously the more interesting proposal of the two.
Following up on the criminal pictures of the camouflaged production version of the BMW i8 that we showed earlier in the week, our scoopsters also snagged a video of the test car softly (perhaps too softly for a BMW coupe) playing around on the snowfall which you can watch after the break.
The new i8 will have a hybrid setup comprising a 1. 5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine turning the trunk wheels and an electric motor driving the front axle, with a combined output of around 350-horsepower.
